Bonnie River, founder of River Moves Mountains Consulting, is a distinguished Waldorf educator with over 50 years of experience in both Independent and Public Waldorf Schools. Her work emphasizes social well-being and healing, offering profound insights drawn from decades of dedication to education and community.

Bonnie's teaching journey spans an impressive breadth: 15 years in kindergarten, 17 years guiding grades 1-8, and 6 years leading high school courses. She has also served as an assistant professor of education at Touro University, mentoring students toward master’s degrees with a focus on Waldorf Education. As a key lecturer for Gradalis Waldorf Teacher Training, she shared her deep understanding of Philosophy and Curriculum with aspiring educators.

As a mother of three and grandmother of eight, Bonnie now steps into her role as an “elder-guide,” generously offering her life-earned wisdom and compassionate heart to teachers and parents. She is passionate about supporting those navigating the challenges and opportunities of humanity’s collective growth in consciousness.

When she’s not sharing her knowledge, Bonnie can be found paddleboarding, biking, or hiking through the wild beauty of the Tahoe Forest Region. A local storyteller and puppeteer, her joy lies in connecting with children and fostering wonder through her craft.
